Principal

Aledo ISD named Heather Street as the principal of Lynn McKinney Elementary School, the district's seventh elementary campus, and officially opened its doors to students for the first time in the fall of 2024. 

Mrs. Street previously served as principal of Walsh Elementary in Aledo ISD, a position she held since 2021. 

Lynn McKinney Elementary was constructed as part of the Aledo 2023 Bond Program, approved by voters in May 2023.  The new school represents the largest single project in the bond Program and reflects the district's continued growth and commitment to providing exceptional learning environments for all students. 

Lynn McKinney Elementary celebrated a fantastic first year, marked by strong community support, joyful learning, and meaningful connections among students, staff, and families.  Under Mrs. Street's leadership, the school has built a culture that values collaboration and student success. She emphasizes the importance of school and community partnerships, encourages parent involvement, and fosters a love of learning that inspires every student to reach their full potential.
